Connect iiiftools to Claude

iiiftools connects to Claude as a custom connector (a remote MCP server). You set it up once on the web (claude.ai) or the Claude desktop app — not the phone apps. Once added, it is usable from your other devices.

Requirements

• An iiiftools account.
• A Claude plan that allows custom connectors (Free, Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). On Free, you can add a single custom connector.

Add the connector (Pro / Max, personal)

1. In Claude, open Settings → Connectors (also reachable via Customize → Connectors).
2. Select + (Add connector), then Add custom connector.
3. Paste the Connector URL https://iiiftools.pangur.io/mcp.
4. Select Add, then Connect.
5. A browser window opens for sign-in — authenticate with your iiiftools account.

Add the connector (Team / Enterprise)

An Owner adds it for the organisation first:

1. Go to Organization settings → Connectors.
2. Select Add, hover Custom, then choose Web.
3. Paste https://iiiftools.pangur.io/mcp and select Add.

Members then enable it: Customize → Connectors → iiiftools (Custom) → Connect, and authenticate with their own iiiftools account.

Use it

Enable the connector in a chat and paste a viewer URL:

Resolve https://viewer.library.wales/4397453 and show me folio 12 — then transcribe it.

Claude calls resolve, browses the canvas list, fetches the page inline, and reads it. For sandboxed contexts (the Claude apps), inline delivery is the reliable path — the image arrives inside the tool response, no outbound fetch needed.
